Moderate tidal flooding is likely at the Jersey Shore tonight as a powerful nor’easter passes offshore, forecasters say.

A Coastal Flood Warning is in effect for all coastal areas from 11 p.m. today until 7 a.m. tomorrow.

“Numerous roadways will flood, and minor to moderate property damage is likely,” the National Weather Service bulletin advises. “The tides and wave action will result in moderate to severe beach erosion.
