Pickup slams into home in Northeast Philadelphia

    What sounded like an explosion in Northeast Philadelphia this morning, turned out to be a pickup truck slamming into the front porch of a home.

    WPVI-TV reports the accident happened around 2:30 a.m. on Langford Street.

    The truck, a Dodge Dakota, jumped the curb at the dead-end portion of the street, went across the front lawn and into the home’s porch.

    According to WPVI-TV, the man who was driving the truck and the female passenger took off.  There were two men in the backseat of the truck were were taken to Aria Hospital-Torresdale.

    An elderly couple who lived inside of the home at the time of the crash were not injured.
