New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and several other elected officials and administrators from Rowan University were on hand Tuesday in Camden for the opening of the Cooper Medical School’s $139 million education building.

The new six-story, 200,000 square-foot-facility is now open for business on the 400 block of South Broadway in Camden.

The Associated Press reports the school will focus on hands-on learning while serving patients in the area.
