Philly ranked low on list of healthiest cities for women in recent survey

Philadelphia wasn’t the least healthy for women but it wasn’t close to being one of the healthiest either in a recent survey conducted by Women’s Health.

According to the survey, published on womenshealthmag.com, Philadelphia ranked 97th among 100 cities, becoming one of the survey’s 10 worst cities.

“Women’s Health” says it teamed up with “Men’s Health” in its fourth annual survey of how 100 cities rank in more than 30 categories. According to Women’s Health, categories included obesity and breast cancer rates, commuting times and hours spent working out.

The survey was published in the January/February issue. In the survey, Raleigh, North Carolina ranked first in healthiest cities, while Birmingham, Alabama ranked 100th for least healthy.
