Philly man charged with murder after dismembered body found

    Police say a dismembered body has been found in a Philadelphia field, and a man has been charged with murder.

    Officials say 43-year-old Charles Sargent also was charged Saturday with abuse of a corpse and possession of an instrument of crime, one day after the body was found in a field in the Strawberry Mansion section of the city.

    Police did not identify the victim.

    Authorities say they received a call Wednesday about a substantial amount of blood inside a house in the 2100 block of North 32nd Street. Police say they located a crime scene in the residence, but there was no body. They say they found the dismembered body Friday about a mile from the residence.
