Pennsylvania budget proposal will include cutbacks to every agency
Seems Pennsylvania is a shopaholic. Budget Secretary Charles Zogby said today the commonwealth’s budget problems aren’t the result of too little revenue. It’s all about the spending.
As the Associated Press reports, Zogby told the Pennsylvania Press Club today the bulk of the year’s $28 billion in spending is offset by billions in federal stimulus dollars and one-time transfers that won’t be available in the year that begins July 1. A $4 billion shortfall is projected for the next fiscal year.
Though Zogby wouldn’t reveal details of Corbett’s budget proposal, cuts are expected in every agency.
