Penn State president warns of staff layoffs

    Pennsylvania State University president Graham B. Spanier has warned his staff of layoffs if proposed state education cuts are enacted.

    Gov. Corbett’s proposed cuts could lead to tuition hikes for state residents of the University as well.

    Philly.com reported that nearly 1,000 people marched on Broad Street to protest the the cuts earlier in the week.
