Vineland delays vote on paintball ban

Picnicking in New Jersey anytime soon? Take heed: Vineland has delayed adopting an ordinance that would ban paintball games in parks.

City officials said the ordinance was needed to stem damage to parks and minimize liability should someone be injured by a paintball, but residents want more time to work out a solution, the AP reports.

The ordinance added paintball guns to a list of other banned recreational weapons you wouldn’t want at your picnic. You know — javelins, bows and arrows and the like.
