Overnight closures on 76 West begin tonight

Night owls be warned: overnight lane and ramp closures on 76 West will begin tonight.

Through the end of the week between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., the installation of electrical conduit will keep the right-hand lane of westbound 76 approaching the I-676 interchange closed. Same goes for the 76 West off-ramp 676 East.

The detour for motorists to follow will be I-76 West to the Montgomery Drive exit, then left on Montgomery Drive, left at the on-ramp to I-76 East, and follow I-76 East to the I-676 East exit ramp.

The closures are part of the ongoing $50.8 million PennDOT project to repair six structurally deficient bridges around Arch, Chestnut, 30th, Market and Little Market streets and the Northeast Corridor rail lines.
