Overdue

A Chester County bridge is finally getting some repairs after pulling a near-perfect score in a federal sufficiency test. Work on the bridge connecting Spring City and Royersford will begin in March. Repairs on the under part of the structure have already begun.
The Phoenix reports the plan is to close the bridge at night and leave it open to traffic throughout the day, though PennDOT is still working out the details. Built in the ’20s, the bridge has fallen into such disrepair it may qualify for federal funding.
