Outages slowly decrease across the region

It’s still lights out in the region for some.

At last check, PSE&G reported about 2,000 outages.  PECO is reporting about 7 thousand outages, down from 17 thousand last night.  Most of those are concentrated in southern Chester County, where PECO has yet to respond to some downed power lines that are affecting just a handful of customers (PECO Spokesman Ben Armstrong says the utility fixes outages affecting large areas first, then gets to smaller ones).  PECO expects all customers to be back online by midnight.
