Operation Dry Water

Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) launches Operation Dry Water today.

DNREC’s Fish and Wildlife Enforcement officers, along with the U.S. Coast Guard, will be out in force on Delaware’s waterways this weekend as a result.

The initiative aims to reduce the number of alcohol and drug-related accidents and fatalities on Delaware’s waterways, through enforcement and education.

DNREC says alcohol consumption is the primary factor in recreational boating accidents.
