Occupiers ready to rally as Mitt Romney comes to Philly
Mitt Romney is coming to Philadelphia this afternoon, and Occupy Philly is ready for him.
The GOP presidential candidate will be at a Rittenhouse hotel reception, where the Inquirer reports his campaign expects to make $300,000. Part of the money will come from the $2,500 photo-ops Romney is offering.
“Occupy Philly will hold our own photo-op on the street for those who cannot afford this common influence on American politics and refuse to let money alone drive policy,” reads the event announcement on the Occupy Philly Facebook page.
Romney is in town to further his campaign after first stopping in Pittsburgh, where he netted $220,000 at a donors lunch.
