Nutter tours Point Breeze with new council member, company implements employee nicotine test

    Good morning, Feeders!

Lizz Fiedler will have a story for us today after spending time yesterday in Camden’s tent cities.

But first, listen for WHYY/NewsWorks’ Tom MacDonald and Philadelphia writer Patrick Kerkstra at 11 a.m. on Radio Times. They’ll be talking about City Council’s 2012 agenda.
From there, Tom will catch with with Mayor Michael Nutter and new 2nd District Councilman Kenyatta Johnson as the pair tour Point Breeze.

Taunya English is checking in with a health company that’s taking steps to test new employees for nicotine. We’ll find out what this means for smokers and those trying to quit.

Peter Crimmins will have a story for us late on some of Philadelphia’s hidden collections and the archivists who curate them. He’ll also have details on what’s on tap for the city’s annual MLK Day of Service.

Over in Mt. Airy, the neighborhood organization is formalizing a business association. Check out the story from Alan Tu and see how the new BAM compares with the business organization in your neighborhood.
