Nutter outlines teop ten service priorities for 2011

After announcing the Volunteer Impact Challenge late last month, Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter has been preaching the value of service at every opportunity. Today, he gets more in-depth in a guest post for the Constitution Daily.

Designed to encourage Philadelphians to match their skills and talents to various volunteer efforts, the program uses its SERVE Philadelphia website to set up service opportunities.

Over on the CD, Nutter outlined his top ten goals, which include: teaching someone to read, promoting recycling and organizing a community clean-up.
