Northwest Fresh Grocer could re-open as Save-A-Lot

    Similar to the sudden closing of the Main Street Saxbys, the Fresh Grocer at Chelten and Pulaski avenues greeted customers yesterday with empty shelves and store closing signs.

    As NewsWorks and PlanPhilly report, it looks like the nearby Save-A-Lot on Wayne Avenue will relocate to the Fresh Grocer spot. Councilwoman Donna Reed Miller and residents aren’t thrilled with the plans for many reasons.
