Update: Norristown rail line on modified schedule
The Manayunk/Norristown regional rail line (the former R6) is operating on a modified schedule to and from Center City due to significant damage to overhead wires.
SEPTA suspended the service this morning but is now providing service to passengers every two hours, using the outbound track (towards Norristown), until further notice.
Select trains to Norristown Transportation Center and Elm Street will depart 30th Street Station at 3:57 p.m., 5:12 p.m. and 6:01 p.m. tonight.
Norristown trains heading to Center City will depart Elm Street at 5:03 p.m. and 7:12 p.m. One train will leave from Norristown Transportation Center at 6:16 p.m.
Chestnut Hill West and Trenton rail lines were also shut down this morning during the morning rush hour but resumed service around 8:45 a.m.
