No plea

In a follow-up court date this morning, Donte Johnson and his lawyer Douglas Dolfman stated their intentions to go to trial. As was expected after Donte fired his court-appointed attorney last month, he won’t be entering a plea in the murder charges against him.

Philadelphia Weekly reports Donte will go to trial for the June 2010 rape and murder of Sabina Rose O’Donnell. He faces first degree murder charges and the death penalty.

The trial date will be set Jan. 18.
