New Jersey wants to become a leader in wind energy

The winds that batter the Jersey Shore are often destructive but imagine if you could harness some of that energy and turn it into something good.

You guessed it: wind power. New Jersey is hoping that one day off shore wind farms can produce power for the grid. If you were listening to Radio Times recently you may have heard about one company that is hoping to build the state’s first wind farm in the waters off Atlantic City.

In Trenton, some lawmakers are hoping to revive a state program that once offered tax credits to anyone who would build a viable wind farm. The incentive program expired last year without any viable proposals.
