New Jersey vet program in Pa.

Well Amy, Pa. officials are in the early planning stages for the program.

WHYY’s Carolyn Beeler reported about the expansion of a New Jersey based in-home health program for vets.

Amy responded: I wanted to find about more about what is available, or about to become available in our state.  The last paragraph mentions that Pa. is developing a program, but there is no time frame?  This program would be a lifesaver for my family, and I’d like to find out where to go to learn more.

Well Amy, officials in Pennsylvania and from the U.S. Department of Aging say they have started discussions about how a similar VA program might be implemented in Pennsylvania, but they are only in early stages of planning. They don’t know yet where or when that program will be offered. However, a similar program is offered through Medicaid in some counties in Pennsylvania.
