New bars set to open in Atlantic City, will add to GLBT nightlife

Two bars set to open in the near future are expected to add to the growing Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender community in Atlantic City, according to a story in the Press of Atlantic City.

According to the report, owners of the Brass Rail, which closed in 2007, are planning to open a new club on Mount Vernon Avenue by the end of the month.  In addition, a new GLBT-friendly bar on Tennessee Avenue is scheduled to have its soft opening today.

The report says that by the end of the summer, Atlantic City could have four clubs and bars that will cater to the GLBT community.

Larry Sieg, president of the Greater Atlantic City GLBT Alliance tells the Press of Atlantic City the new clubs and bars will help to put Atlantic City back on the map, especially for the GLBT community.
