Pa. lottery machines now to display Amber Alerts

Pennsylvania’s self-service lottery machines can now help fight crime:

Authorities announced yesterday that Amber Alerts for abducted children will be displayed on the terminals’ 17-inch screens.

Lottery officials say that within minutes of state police activating an Amber Alert, a missing child’s picture and other identifying information can be displayed at convenience stores, gas stations, restaurants, bowling alleys and grocery stores.

More than 8,700 retail locations across the state have self-service lottery machines.
