Montco commissioners chief to seek state attorney general’s office

    A former state lawmaker who heads Pennsylvania’s third most populous county says he’s running for state attorney general.

    Josh Shapiro said Monday that he’ll make a formal campaign announcement Tuesday.

    The 42-year-old Democrat is chairman of Montgomery County’s commissioners.

    He also is Gov. Tom Wolf’s appointee atop the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency.
