Missing out

    Two million people are missing out on Medicare prescription coverage. Launched in 2006, the Extra Help program provides assistance to low-income Medicare recipients with Part D prescription coverage. But efforts to promote the aid haven’t proven very effective. Health & Science reporter Meggan Kole spoke with professionals in the field about why Extra Help — and similar programs — often go unused.
