Misconduct

Reporter Tom MacDonald has been at City Hall since this morning, where Police Commission Charles Ramsey and Philadelphia City Council are holding a hearing on police misconduct.

Tom reports: Commissioner Charles Ramsey testified he needs to make sure police know how to be polite to people, and work on ways to de-escalate tense situations.  The commissioner says the department is working with officers, but also the officers on the street have to be stern in some situations and want to be sure people understand their need to be sure they are under control of the situation.

Tom will have a full report on NewsWorks and 91 FM later today.
