West Wildwood mayor injured in fall

West Wildwood Mayor Herbert Frederick is in critical condition after falling from a ladder at his home.

The 61-year-old was taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden on Monday.

Commissioner Gerard McNamara told The Press of Atlantic City family members say the mayor’s condition hasn’t gotten any worse.

Frederick was elected mayor in May 2008. He survived a recall in 2010 and a court challenge that ended this year.
