Phila. mayor orders inquiry into charter school case

    Philadelphia’s Chief Integrity Officer Joan Markman has been ordered by Mayor Michael Nutter to conduct “factfinding” interviews into the controversy around a $60 million dollar charter school contract at Martin Luther King HIgh School in Philadelphia. The mayor says he wants to find out the facts surrounding the meeting that was first reported by Bill Hangley working for both NewsWorks and The Philadelphia Public School Notebook.
