Scott F. Mason is the winner of The Grand’s 2010 “IN” the Spotlight competition, where his hilarious, spot-on impersonation of Dame Edna won the acclaim of judges and audiences alike. Named “Dame Edna’s Honorary Understudy” by the real Dame herself, Barry Humphries, Mason has been perfecting his act for the past seven years, earning him consecutive “Funniest Male” awards at the 2008 and 2009 Sunburst Convention for Celebrity Impersonators. Local guitar phenoms Michael Brook and Steve Hobson bring their pickin’ skills back to the NAA, admission is $8 in advance and $10 at the door. A chili dinner, featuring both regular and vegetarian options with all the trimmings, will be served at 7 p.m. for $8. The 60-member symphony will play aboard the MV Twin Capes as it sails from Lewes, Del, to Cape May, NJ and back to the sounds of “Big Band to Broadway.” Passengers will be treated to wine tasting, an open bar, lavish hors d’oeuvres from local restaurants, cocktails, and a silent auction of unique items.
