Markelll outlines budget spending proposals

    Gov. Jack Markell will discuss several budget proposals today, which our Delaware bureau reporters will report on later.Here’s a list of some of things covered this morning:

     

    proposal to use $40 million in taxpayer money to help businesses explained and relocate
    proposal to restore $24 million to the transportation trust fund and use an additional $16 million to help maintain roads and infrastructure.
    proposal to spend $35 million to restore and preserve state-owned property like parks and historic buildings
    proposal to use $10 million for housing subsidies and $10 million to preserve open space.
    Budget meetings will continue through the week.
