Roll up your sleeves and get ready to get dirty at the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education’s Rocks and Minerals program.
The Day Off Program: Rocks and Minerals event begins at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 29 at the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education.
The event will give you a first-hand look at rocks, fossils, crystals and geodes. Later in the day, you’ll become a geologist, using rock hammers to break open your very own geodes.
Children ages 5-12 are invited to participate. The program is scheduled to run from 8-3 p.m., with extended day options available until 6 p.m.
The daily fee is $45 for members and $55 for non-members, with an extended day fee of $15 (8 a.m. to 6 p.m.).
