Pa. widens search function on Megan’s Law website
This just in from the AP:
The Pennsylvania State Police says the searchable database of registered sex offenders is now more user-friendly for people who want to focus on a specific geographic area.
The agency announced today that it had revamped the Megan’s Law website so people can look for offenders who live or attend school within a radius of between a half-mile and five miles of a given location.
So, it’ll be easier for someone to search for the registered sex offenders who live near their home or school.
Also included in the upgrade: A feature that suggests similar sounding names in response to queries about a particular name, and more photos of offenders.
