LOVE Your Park events in NW Philly this Saturday
In celebration of National Earth Week next week (April 17 to April 23), volunteers throughout Philadelphia are dusting off their gardening gloves and shovels to take part in this Saturday’s LOVE Your Park Day.
More than 100 groups have already signed up to help spruce up the city’s green spaces by pruning trees, painting or mulching the grounds at local parks and recreation centers.
The event is a partnership among the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, Philadelphia Parks and Recreation, and Greater Philadelphia Cares.
