Wagner: Pa. liquor stores should stay open longer

Yesterday, Pennsylvania Auditor General Jack Wagner criticized the state’s experiment with wine vending machines. He said it failed.

But he also proposed a solution: regulators instead should keep state-controlled liquor stores open for seven days a week, 12 hours a day.

Wagner says most stores are open only five or six days a week, and the ones that are open seven days a week have limited hours on Sundays.
