Limerick’s Exelon nuclear reactor back on line

    Four days and two shutdowns later, Exelon’s Unit 2 nuclear reactor has resumed operations. The reactor first shut down Sunday and again Monday during a test.

    Electrical repairs caused a turbine trip that resulted in an automatic shutdown, the Mercury reports. The shutdown took 1,200 megawatts of power from the region’s electrical grid.
