Paralyzed Eric LeGrand makes Rutgers radio debut

Paralyzed former Rutgers football player Eric LeGrand made his debut as a radio analyst last night.

He gave pregame and halftime analysis for the Rutgers Football Network at the Scarlet Knights’ season opener against North Carolina Central.

He said he was a little nervous, but did just fine on the air–something we here at WHYY know can be a little intimidating.

It marked the first time he’s attended a Rutgers game since he was paralyzed last October.

More good news: the senior has experienced some sensations in his body, and even tweeted photos of himself standing in July.
