Large swell capsized pontoon boat in the Manasquan Inlet, police say

    Two died after a large swell struck and capsized a pontoon boat in the Manasquan Inlet early Friday afternoon, police say.

    Alex Osadchy, 66, and Grigory Klokishner, 74, both of Philadelphia, Pa., died in the incident, which occurred around 1:30 p.m. Friday, according to a New Jersey State Police release. 

    Osadchy was pronounced deceased at the scene, while Grigory Klokishner was flown to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, where he later died, the release said. 

    Four other occupants were transported to Ocean Medical Center in Brick with non-life-threatening injuries, and one refused medical treatment.

    Autopsies on the two men are scheduled for today. 

    The New Jersey State Police Marine Services Bureau and Aviation Unit, U.S. Coast Guard, New York City Police Department, Point Pleasant First Aid & Emergency Squad Dive Team, private boats, and nearby surfers were involved in the search and rescue operation.
