Kwanzaa at Johnson House Dec. 27

On Thursday, December 27, 6 – 8 p.m.,  the Johnson House Historic Site will host our annual Kwanzaa Family Celebration event. Keepers of the Culture storytellers will engage young people and their families with fables and stories and educate everyone to understand how to live the Principles of Kwaanza. The PACEP Drumming & Percussion of Temple University will accompany the storytelling with drumming. Little listeners and their families will be able to enjoy an evening of education, entertainment, arts and crafts and refreshments. The overall primary theme of our Kwaanza event is to assist in guiding our youth to adopt the principles of Kwanzaa in order for them to live a life with a positive Purpose: Nia. This is a free educational and inspirational family and community event. The Johnson House is located at 6306 Germantown Avenue (corner of Germantown and Washington Lane). Space will be limited. Please call to RSVP at 215-438-1768.
