King students consider changes that come with Renaissance takeover

    For Taylor Smith, senioritis has taken on a different meaning. The Martin Luther King High School 12th grader has taken to caring and participating in his senior year, and that’s the reason he wasn’t among the student who staged a walkout in response to the school district’s plan to make the school a Renaissance School.

    As Bill Hangley Jr. reports for NewsWorks, Smith was among the students who attend a recent meeting for members of the Germantown high school’s community to talk about the changes they want to see.
