Kareem Abdul Jabbar talks segregation with high school students

    Back in the ’20s and ’30s, the Harlem Rens beat several other basketball teams in tournaments. But the black team was never allowed to compete in the racially segregated NBA.

    That message was part of a larger lesson basketball legend Kareem Abdul Jabbar brought today to students at William W. Bodine High School for International Affairs in North Philadelphia. Peter Crimmins will have the full report later.
