The Magical Land of Oz

A powerful twister hits Kansas, and takes Dorothy’s house with it! She and her dog Toto land in a strange new place – with witches, and munchkins, and magic, oh my! She wants more than anything to get home, but how? Dorothy must set out on a long and dangerous journey to ask the Wizard of Oz. The Grand, July 7th, 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

 

 

Caesar Rodney Rides Again

Dr. Constance Cooper, Chief Curator of the Delaware Historical Society, presents the life of Caesar Rodney and the choices he faced during the American Revolution. Pre-registration required: Call 698-6440.  Kent County Public Library, July 6th, 6:30 p.m.

 

 

The Delaware Symphony Orchestra : Where Stars Align

The Grammy-nominated Delaware Symphony Orchestra is Delaware’s only fully-professional orchestra.  Under the artistic leadership of Music Director David Amado, the DSO performs to over 50,000 adults and 10,000 children annually.  The concert will feature selections from composers like Strauss, Elgar, Sousa, and Tchaikovsky!  The Freeman Stage at Bayside, July 2nd, 7 p.m.
