Miss the Jersey Shore? There’s an app for that

This week’s 70 degree weather in March has a lot of people pining for the Jersey Shore.

If you can’t sneak out of work to plant your butt in a beach chair, or just want a reminder of what’s to come this summer, right at your fingertips, check out Justin Gaynor’s Jersey Shore Videoscapes iPad app.

Gaynor (who, full disclosure, provided the photograph for the cover of my Jersey Shore guide book), has shot 35 different gorgeous videos of spots along the Jersey Shore. You can pick any to play on you iPad, and then click the screen for weather forecasts, tide tables and sunrise and sunset times.

The app costs $2.99 – not too bad for a Jersey Shore fix.
