Has Nutter accomplished anything?

It’s been more than three years since Philadelphians lined up outside City Hall to shake hands with their new mayor, Michael Nutter, on his first day in office. Nutter has introduced three budgets, dealt with countless crises, and controlled most city agencies in that time. In short, he’s had a chance to make some big things happen.

Has he?

Last week, Philadelphia Daily News editor Larry Platt wrote a column arguing that Nutter has failed to think big in his first term as mayor, and doesn’t have any major accomplishments.

Ben Waxman responded with a column arguing that in fact Nutter does have a pretty big accomplishment under his belt.
