Is likability overrated?
I ask because after reading Dave Davies’ excellent piece on City Councilman Bill Green, I wonder how much likability trumps intelligence or efficiency?
And whether it should.
Would you rather have a leader you like, or one who you may not love, but who gets things done?
Is it possible to have both?
There’s plenty of research on both sides of the likability factor. And there are lots of other leaders and politicians who face this dilemma — including Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
