International attention for man who published freeholder’s photos

Japan, India and Australia have picked up on the story that began in Cumberland County, N.J., and Carl Johnson is the interview to get.

The Millville resident is one of the men at the forefront of the county’s scandal: Freeholder Louis Magazzu has resigned after Johnson posted on his website nude photos the freeholder had sent to a woman.

Johnson’s been a longtime political foe of Magazzu, but tells the Daily Journal going public with the photos wasn’t easy given the impact it’s had on Magazzu’s family. He said pretty much the same yesterday in an interview with Philly mag’s Victor Fiorillo.

In his letter of resignation, Magazzu apologized for his actions, but said he did not use work equipment or services in his messages with the woman.
