Since being established by state lawmakers in 2007, the SEU has sold more than $70 million in bonds to fund energy projects in Delaware. The energy savings that result from those projects will help repay the bonds. The SEU is also behind Energize Delaware which is designed to offer Delaware residents a one-stop resource for sustainable energy solutions. In April, the SEU established a market for investors to buy and sell solar renewable energy credits.
