Inquirer and Daily News employees face buyouts

    Arlene Ackerman’s not the only one being bought out, though her deal sure called for a lot more money.In another round of cuts, Philadelphia Inquirer and Philadelphia Daily News employees face buyouts, as is confirmed by the letter posted yesterday on Poynter, which includes financial details.
    City Paper spoke with an unnamed employee who says the DN will see three buyouts from any department and 17 from the Inquirer. Five of those 17 will be management cuts.The deal is open until Sept. 21 and the buyout would be effective Oct. 14.
