Stadium “delicacy” puts Chestnut Hill on the map

It’s understandable that tourists head to South Philly to find one of Philadelphia’s famous cheesesteak sandwiches.

But Philadelphia has many other “fine dining” choices that are in the same league. Sports fans have a least heard about The Schmitter sandwich. It is served at Citizens Bank Park and Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

Its origins are in Chestnut Hill. As hard as it is too believe that on Germantown Ave in the high altitude of the 8000 block that this cheesesteak-like calorie buster was first created. Kyle Rollins, a student at the University of the Arts, went to McNally’s Tavern to see what kind of place this was.
