House debates Delaware Gaming Competitiveness Act

The Delaware House of Representatives will consider a bill today that would allow for internet gambling, creation of Keno establishments, and expansion of sports betting.

The proposal is known as the Delaware Gaming Competitiveness Act.   Lottery game sales would be permitted online for the first time.  The measure is designed to create additional revenues which the existing “racinos” would be required to reinvest into their own success, including marketing efforts.  The package is designed to help the gaming industry remain competitive with gambling options in nearby states.  The House goes into session at 2 p.m. at Legislative Hall in Dover.
