Hockey legends shine in Winter Classic Alumni Game

It certainly wasn’t this holiday weekend’s main event, but to many fans at Citizens Bank Park Saturday, the NHL Winter Classic alumni game may as well been.

The likes of Eric Lindros, Neil Little, John LeClair and many others took the ice yesterday in front of loud and excited crowd.

NHL.com reports Lindros received one of the biggest ovations from the more than 45,000 fans who packed the ballpark turned hockey rink Saturday.

Aside from stops in Philadelphia as a visiting player, NHL.com says Lindros hasn’t returned to the city since being traded to the New York Rangers in 2001.
