Man, 59, struck, killed by bus in SW Philly

    Authorities say a man was struck and killed by a city bus in southwest Philadelphia.

    Police said the accident happened at about 4 p.m. yesterday in the Kingsessing section of the city.

    Officers said they found the man under the westbound SEPTA bus when they arrived at the scene.

    The 59-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

    The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
